Let’s grow together for special needs

Parents who raise children with special needs have an enormous amount of challenges and obstacles in their daily lives.  Most people they encounter don’t have the faintest idea of just how complex and exhausting life with special needs can be.  For every family and their special needs child there are a unique set of challenges and problems to deal with.

One of the hardest things parents experience is the feeling of complete isolation. Children with special needs have varying difficulties in a number of areas, e.g.  fussy about food, insomnia, limited/impaired/absent communication skills, sensory processing disorders, extreme behaviour patterns and impaired social interaction.   If you’ve had any experience in the field of special needs you will know that this list can go on for a while.   Even though it is extremely frustrating and heart-breaking for parents to witness their entire lives unravel into something they never planned for there is light in the tunnel with a special needs community who can learn to grow and work together in order to conquer fears, develop skills and achieve individual goal for their children.

It is my hope and dream to support educators, carers and parents with special needs children by helping them learn and develop:

  • coping strategies for their unique home life (eating, sleeping, play, etc.)
  • social inclusion in their communities
  • behaviour management at school, home and on outings
  • how to raise awareness about their child’s special needs among their family and friends
  • a support system to accompany them on the journey with their special needs child
